This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
Well I'm back to maya again....
I did this model in max and I will be texturing and animating in maya.....
If someone knows one way to make easy and fast mapping tecnic for robotic model please let me know, cause I hate mappin and doctor said less I spend time on this is good for my health........
I now.....is quite dark.....
I don't know what wrong whit me......I like dark things....and almost all works I does become dark.....
anyway that close up is to show better the texture.....
mmmm nice!!! As far as quick texturing goes why dont you make a few tiled textures, apply auto mapping in Maya and then apply them and just adjust your UV Repeats till you are happy. Thats as quick as I can think you could do it. Its a bit of a cheat but it works
of what I can see, it looks good. lol Yeah a bit dark.
I also go the auto-map route, but I do not use tiled textures that often. After auto-mapping, I'll go back and use the sew UV commands to get the UV layout as I want.
It's done.....well nearlly done...just some more details like cables, and I don't know some anothers things.....
For now just one pic of my mapped model........I will post more after and if someone wanna see in close up any part...just let me know.......
Jango and mtmckinley: auto-map rout is beutifull.....This is NOT A CHEAT....IS KNOWLEADGE!!!!anyway thanks for the tip.....helps me a lot.......
nice mate, every one loves a big bad machine, textures look maybe a tad dark for me but i am in the office on a tft crappy monitor so might be different!
