Maya 7 dissapearing texture for image plane.

please help I am working on the oliphant tutorial and for whatever reason the texture on the image plane just dissapeared and whenever I press 5 is goes shaded and when I hit 6 it goes a whitesh color

G'Day graphiac,

It sounds like the same problem I had a couple of days ago.

I fixed it by installing a newer graphics card driver [downloaded from the manufacturer's website] on my computer. Here's my question thread with screen grabs of the problem, so you can see if it's the same one you're having!

Very possible can you by chance...

Tell me the graphic card you have now and a rough estimate of how much it cost i'm working on Windows XP and on a dell much appreciated.user added image
