Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

You can create a simple environment using a plane or two, or a large sphere with the normals facing inwards and assign colors or textures to that.

There's also an option to change the environment color (default black) which I think is in the camera attributes. Sorry can't remember exactly.

there is an option 'environment colour'(or something) in camera attributes,
change the colour there, you can also change the render background with any image like sky, garden etc.

thanks 3ddon,

the colour option worked but somehow i was not able to get that image option working as the red colour of the car is a mental ray shader.

When i render in mental ray i dont see the background image but when i render with maya software i see the image and the rest of the car parts where i have used maya shaders.

is there any solution to this?

Thanks again for your help

mahesh
