Texturing help

hey

i have made a tennis ball and want to texture it so i maped it out(see links)
i need advive on how to txt the white bit(bald patch) smoothly as its so awarked and im a total noob at texturin

i have tried at low res then smoothed but it looks crap an when i map the hires layout it is still not up too much plz help

he uses a low poly count map yet has a smooth ass ball and i walso want to pratice fur so help plzzzzzzz

if u didnt understand the first post i need help gettin the bald patch smooth as i dont know an easy way to paint this in photoshop

if you want to learn fur does it really matter if your ball is smooth like his? if you are following a fur tutorial and are this worried about your modeling and texturing how are you going to learn about fur?
