Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Uv set problem

Hi there

I have tried to create separate Uv sets for the black and the red-checkered areas. It didn't really work it seems that I have to stick to the default set and pack everything in that one. But I am sure there must be way of doing this. How can I assign a uv set just to specific faces on the same object?

thanks

found a solution, under relationship editors there's a tab uv linking amd you can link uv sets to specific texture files.
