flour sack preview

Here's a preview of a little side project that I'm working on. Nothing terribly fancy. Just a very simple character and rig for doing animation exercises. The mesh and textures are derived from the example in Maya: Secrets of the Pros. The rig is primarily FK with a few IK elements to control the "legs" and "arms". The colored control curves (all dannyHelpers except the big circle) are driving the joints through point and orient constraints. There is also a 3-point squash and stretch controler that is comprised of 3 squash deformers and some set driven keys.

I think you ought to have a sack race between Mikes cartoon Mike, and your flour sack hehe...

that would kick ass! the sack could play dirty and trip cartoon mike and then cartoon mike could grab a loose thread and unravel the bag of flour as he runs away and then you could have a classic cartoon moment when the flour hangs in the air with no bag around it and then falls to the floor in a big puff or.... em... flour user added image

Some great ideas here. Very fun! user added image

For those not in the know, Adldesigner and GCastro are going to use this little guy in an animation battle. The specifics have yet to be decided, we figured it would only be a fair animation battle if both participants worked with the same character, rig, and scenario. I'm not sure when the battle is going to happen yet, but it will show up in the Battle forum at some point.
