Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Alucard from Hellsing

This is linked to my Manga Gun project, I have just over 3 weeks to model / texture / animate Alucard from Hellsing.

I want to keep it close to the orignal design by Kohta Hirano but have realistic textures. I will show you where I am at.

Prop -- 01 -- Gun-1

This gun has to have the internal structure quite acurate because you see him assembling the gun (hopefully user added image)

Gun -- 02

Not too much to look at without a texture. This is slightly less detialed but still has bullets, clip, barrel and recoil action.

You'll just see him adjusting them or something like that.

Shot from the front, the area around the eyes needs some work and maybe the crease around his nose could be sharper, comments (as always) welcome and greatly recieved user added image

nice stuff tim! objects are very cool...but I think the head could use a makeover.....What I mean by that is that the geometry of the head is not too proportionated that would give the model the look that it's not clean... but further more...your're very close to what de model should be user added image keep this coming!

Cheers mate, I know what your saying about the head. Im more of a mechanical modeller and fine organic things a bit harder. Im working on the body today (he has a long flowing coat which will be interesting to do).

I will post another update before the day is out. user added image

I re-made the face to try and give him a bit more of a jaw line.

Today I have been working on the hair, I tried many different ways, Extruding faces on a sphere, Paint effects, cps method. I settled on this method. Making the spikes and then dotting them around the head area and will append to poly the gaps. Tell me what you think.

I like the one with the whole hair better, not the random spikes..
