Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

MAYA 2008 viewport clipping problems.

Hey all, Just wondering if anyone can help my with my viewport problems.

Basically, the scene looked fine until i added an alpha map. Then i had some clipping problems in the view port.

I changed the hardware texturing to: combined textures and the resolution to highest.

Im using maya 2008 in high quality viewport

Also rendering (in metal ray) looks fine, so im sure if im missing something or graphics card cant do it.

thanks.

try toggling "Object transparency sorting" in the shading menu within the viewport.

It works for me, but may not always. Worth a try though.
