Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Mental Ray batch rendering

Hi,

I find my Maya quits rendering prematurely when using the normal batch renderer with the program running, so i have started batch rendering by calling render.exe

I set up my file to render certain frames, with the ray tracing flag on, and I also have Mental Ray set up in the render globals.

Everything started fine, however it no longer renders in mental ray. I have not changed the file in any way.

Is there any way to force mental ray from within the batch render lines?

Thanks for any help,

Matt

EDIT:

A sample line from my batch file:

C:\Progra~1\Alias\Maya6.0\bin\render -s 1591 -e 1600 -ert true -im Office x:\maya\projects\default\scenes\office33.mb

EDIT2: Ooops, didn't notice the metal ray/rendering forums down the bottom user added image Sorry!
