try the colour black for the overalls since this is traditional japanese samauri/ ninja colours- but if your just gonna use those colours- i like the dark blue one better user added image

tanx.

it's a character for animation with mayj, he has
a olive green ninja, i was thinking of a contrast color scheme or maybe a complementery.

whatever you do, dont use black, a dark red or dark green would be better, both colours appear black at night and in the shadows.
also soften the model

ah right, in that case i would try something unique and go for the opposite colour of green, apposed to complement it - may produce a unique effect since your having 2 opposing colours together - the crimson red is pretty nice.

or if you still wish to complement the green nin then blue is a better constrast than yellow (yellow is plain yucky... for a ninja anyway, just my opinion though user added image )

tanx pips,

i'm currently creating blend shapes for Aki so i'm skipping texturing, but the face is already being done by Ara, the one who made the sketch of the kid for referrence.

i also like the red, since i'm a big fan of miami, hehe

again tanx guys.

texturing the face, here is what i've done so far,
almost finished on the blendshapes,

this is rendered by cornholio using subsurface staff i'm not really sure.
hehe

hope i could advance, i'm a bit stucked on the hair.
i've tried two approach,
one: a whole polygon for the hair
two: nurb strips and i'm going to map with transparency.
