Thanks for the orthos definitely help for clarity. I'm used to drawing faces and there are some basic guides that help. The eyes, in general are one eye width apart. Corners of the mouth line up with center of the pupils (look straight ahead. Image below is a photoshop painting of my boss. The white lines are for visual reference.

In the side view, there doesn't seem to be enough receeding toward the back of the head and the cheeks might be a little on the high side. This makes the face a plane rather then being a smoother curve. I'll say it again, it is good work for no reference, but I still recommend you look at some head shots to help you identify "landmarks" of facial features. Look at a year book, a family photo album, or on line image searches.

Hey Blomkaal
Just redirected the flow with the might of my red pen!! its just really the nose area where it leads onto the cheek. So you have a loop going out and around the mouth

Tried to get the edges to flow a little better, but I think it just got messed up... 1) I'm not sure this is how the edges should go, 2) I ended up with this tri (red) and can only think of this (blue) to get rid of it... Any suggestions?

Can you turn the model round a bit so I can see round the nose a bit more. Then maybe can help a bit more

MH, not quite sure what you mean...

Just got back from the gym and I'm gonna work a little more on this before I'm off to bed... Here's where I'm at so far...

I'm pretty satisfied with the smoothed outcome, but I still think the mesh looks a bit too messy, especially around the nose right below the eye...

Looks like you broke the flow, here is a possible alternative. You also seem to have a lot of faces in the nose bridge are. Might consider thinning that out.

I've tried getting back on the flow, but that just seems to mess things up even more... I know that it's pretty dense in that area, but those lines are there for the crease in the cheek... EDIT: And to avoid tris

Well, no changes in the face area, just thought I'd show a smooth shot before I'm off to bed... Hopefully I'll get some more work done on this tomorrow, maybe finish it! user added image

Closed the huge gap in his kranium, and added some neck definition... C&C?
