Blend shapes

I am trying to create some blendshapes for my character however one of the duplications of the original, seems to have become a separate object meaning its no longer related to the original. So I can't create a blendshape using it. Is there any way of transfering it to another duplication? Or will I have to model the whole facial expression again? user added image

if it's not working, you will probably have to start again. when you make your blendshape the duplicated geometry has to stay exactly the same, which means you can only 'reshape' the existing geometry.

Ah thanks, I remodelled it now and it works fine. user added image I just got frustrated as I had sewn up the two halves of my dog so didn't know how to edit it so i could reshape it the same both sides, so I split the dog in two again, then it didn't recognise it as a blendshape even when I sewed it up again!
