Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Nice hand model. The shiny material is a bit odd, but I suppose it works.

And yes, this is the forum where you should post images to be considered for the gallery. Just so you know, we're going to be *REALLY* picky about what makes it into the gallery. user added image

I do not think the image is appropriate for the gallery. First of all, it is from a tutorial. We want to show off only the best personal work in the gallery. Tutorial files will not be posted (at least, I won't approve any of them). Also, the overall image is incomplete, IMO. The composition is off, the scene feels empty -- something is missing.

I think the model is well done, but it is not gallery material. Keep working at it, and I'm sure you'll produce something that is worthy of representing SM. user added image
