July Challenge: Witchy: Normal

Thinking of a 'Borg's Bunny'- part buck toothed loving pet, part evil robotic genetically enhanced killing machine.

Great for kids that seek both world domination and a slightly larger than usual pet.

Will probably be controlled through mind sharing and a dispenser for genetically enhanced carrots (which contain all the things a killing bunny needs) which can be unlocked by the user when the bunny does useful things like killing enemies, exterminating teachers that want their homework/prep on time and not leaving poo the size of a horse all over the house.

Very probably, but then if it appears semi 'cute' it can wander into places unremarked and then kill everyone. user added image And I did mention part loving pet, chortle.

Here is the early work on the head. Eventually will have 'borg' style implants and things, just getting the shape in place first. Shown converted to sudbs and tweaked and with it's poly basic.

Body will be large and fat with more 'borg' styling and a large gun or some unpleasant accessory.

Thanks- erm quick question. I tried to cut the face in half and did a test mirror; when I do it the mirrored half appears some distance away. I have tried recentring the pivot, snapping it to the centre grid and moving it all over the place but this still keeps happening- any ideas?

I then tried resetting the settings in the mirror box but it duplicates inside itself on the default setting- mirroring on the other axes makes it upside down or back to front or miles away. I am in subds btw and I have tried freezing transformations etc. I really don't want to start again- is there a way round this? If I convert to polys it mirrors fine but I really wanted to be in subds for this stage.

Ah never mind, I converted it to actual polys and back and it is now mirroring- must have got it confused. On with making it more cuddly. Erm, evil.

In accordance with Witchy's request, I shall no longer be posting here saying that it looks cute, fluffy, cuddly or any other adjective similar in nature. He also upset me so much I dont think I want to even read the forums for the next 2 weeks. <sob>

well how did ha recenter the pivot? O_o sound kinda funny.. i mean it should work if you do it like you said o_O

but theres always the other way of mirroring stuff..
take your un splitted head, center the pivot, select half the head faces and hit delete..
then go to edit > duplicate > options ans set the 'side' axis (usually x but that depends on witch direction youve modeled it in, try and see) to -1 this will create a mirrored version of your bunny head..

you may need to reverse the normals on it(bcuz you scaled it 'inwards' the normals will be pointing to the inside of the head) but im not sure user added image

but the subdivs > mirror should work too O_o check again where your pivot is.. but as you described it it SHOULD work
i tried it with a sphere and it worked for me O_o maybe deleteing history whould help..
