What version of Maya is being used in the video tutorials?

In the "Create a simple dog" tutorial Kevin selects modify>convert>polygon to subdiv .

In Maya Personal Learning Edition 4.0 there is no "polygon to subdiv". So I wanted to know which version of Maya has that option.

Looks I finally have a reason to pay the $1,500+ for Maya. What version did you use in the video tutorial?

I believe with version 4, sub-d's are only available in the "unlimited" version and not the "complete" version. Not sure if it's the same way for 4.5. In earlier versions, people relied on a MEL script called Faked Sub-D's, which did exactly that...faked sub-d manipulation.

I think you can do the SDK ones in the free area and the skeleton.

Might not be able to open the dog scene but just make yourself a generic shape to get it done mate

as sub-d's are available in maya 4.5 complete, they are also in the maya 4.5 PLE which has recently been available on the A|W site
