Rigging Cloth?

Hey guys,
I've been rigging my character, but I'm running into stuff I'm not sure where to begin with.
I have a spartan skirt thing that I need to collide with the body, but I'm not sure where to even start.
I tried weight painting the skirt along the legs, but I didn't want it to move along with the leg, but instead collide randomly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Attached image below.

Have you tried using nCloth? It's not as difficult as it seems. Try looking up a tutorial for making a flag, and then turn the legs into a passive collider.

I've used it before yeah, but was hoping to just use my models I've got already because its already been painted and textured.

I think you can use existing textured models as cloth...
