This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

File Textures

If I use a file texture on a polygon I can UV texture map it so it's the right siz ect, how do you do it with nurbs? there isn't a UV mode.

what you do is go to

modify-convert NURBS to Polygons

then you UV map the polygon and do stuff like that... that you would normally do with polygons

nurbs' UV = CV. problem here is you have to deform your texture to fit the CVs/UVs. it´s some bastard thing to do!
