Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

slow texture editor

Hi.

i have a head mesh which is not too heavy which when edited in the texture editor is almost impossible as the uvs move around so slowly. The UVs of All of my other items in the scene including a similar head are moving at perfect speed in the editor so it seems to be a problem with the mesh rather than the editor. It has no history on it.

Does anybody have any ideas on what could be causing this?

Thanks,
Matt

Try opening the UV editor Maximized, so it blocks out the viewports..

or try to delete the history of the head..

minimise maya when you're doing it as well as it may be trying to draw the other viewports at the same time. Maya's just crap that way user added image
