Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Name that object.

This may seem like a stupid question, but what is that thing that they snap before filming something and the director says "action." It's also the icon for the render Globals on the Maya shelf. Just curious....

It's called a "Clapper" user added image

And usually, with digital ntsc and/or camera data digital infrared data transfer and sync, there is a person called a "Clapper Loader" that will ensure that the timing and sync of everything is taken care of in the clapper interface softwareuser added image

Hmmmm, I've usually heard them referred to as 'clapper boards'. very interesting piece of trivia though user added image
