Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I think alot depends on what you want to build or learn at a particular time, and on the particular tutorial writer. Quite often they might miss out some steps, or not make some problems clear, and so you have to hunt around for a while to sort it out. This site does some nice tutorials also:

https://www.highend3d.com/maya/tutori...l_ray/241.html

and I link to that particular tutorial as an example, since I had a problem when I was changing the sizes of the extruded surfaces, since each square would split, and you have to fiddle with the polygon tools to get it to work (can't remember exactly how at the moment and I don't have Maya on this computer to check)

so in short, try to hunt down the sorts of things you want to be modelling, and then be prepared to google a bit for problems.
