SSS Vibrator

Hey this was a quick test of the SSS_fast_simple shader. I have never tried SSS before so this was my first go. I think its ok. I had a shot at the sss_skin but got some ok and some wierd results. I'll maybe post them down the line.

You going for photoreal? you should use some reference as a goal (please dont post the reference).

I had one reference, but i didn't stick to it... ermm... you know what i mean... anyway, it was just a way of practicing sss, i thought it made a good choice of object.

I've actually started adding a face to it... (am i coming accross as odd?) its coming up for hallowe'en so i thought i would make it into some wierd costume. i thought it looked funny with the spot light, kind of like a comedian. I might model a cigarette for it to hold; i could do with some more practice with particles.

These are actually just weird shapes... It's the minds of the people on this forum that made those what they are :shakehead
Though the do look a bit like dildos :p

You should probably get rid of the crappy specular from the ss matt and layer it onto a blinn, put negative 0.2 into the specular color of the ss matt and leave shineyness at 33 (default)

Lol atleast I'm not the only one who used this shader on toys <3 but I tried being abstract with the title. Thing is about this image is that the lil guy looks sad and lonely, I think its the way its curved in combination with the single spotlight and dark background.

LOL, gotta be the funniest thing on the forum for a long time. The half looks like a light sabre, so no weilding it around dangerously, you end up buggering someone half to death LOL

Anyway I know Gen did hers using sss as well and to be honest its actually an original choice of subject from both parties to do an SSS dildo.

Though I gotta say that next time please put something like 'may offend' on the title just to warn people before hand, that way they cant complain if they just stumble across the thread.

cheers
Jay
