how to cut a curve where another curve touches?

two curves. one curve's end point touches the other curve in the middle. how to cut the second curve at the point where it is touched by the first curve?

Select both curves.... goto "edit curves" and "cut curve".

Curves a cut where they intersect.

do i need to rebuild the curves after the cutting?
