This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Combine problem

When combining a modelled head and body, upon applying they disappear even pressing 'f' or 'a' doesn't make any difference. Any ideas?

I think it attaches it as a new object. Cant remember off the top of my head but it might be something to do with the objects already being grouped.
Check your Hypergraph to find the combined object (window -> hypergraph).
