Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Converting Maya PLE to Maya 7

Is there a way of converting .mp files (the file used in Maya Personal Learning Edition) to .mb files (normal Maya files)?

It is illegal. You can possibly do it, but I don't know how. It is against the law.

thnx for the reply matt. I was just wondering cos I've got the PLE of Maya and I need to make a file useable on Maya 7.
