Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

October Challenge - Spoiler - Normal

I've not done an animation yet but my mind filled with ideas after listening to the sounds.

I'm gonna try my hardest to complete this. It's just a shame we have to show our progress as I'd kinda like the animation to be a suprise the first time you watch it.

Actually, sod the progress. If I finish it I'll post it here then once you've seen it I'll post the wires and rigs etc.

Entries won't be considered without posting progress throughout the time of the challenge... Feel free to do what you'd like, though.

fair enough. If im going do this I'd rather keep an element to suprise to it.

Each time I take part I know I'm not going to win and normally I dont even finish the pieces.

If it's not considered it doesnt bother me. It's just nice to have someone else come up with ideas for me once a month.

Actually. considering all the sounds are the same you are going to have a good idea of what will happen from the off. I have my girlfriend to thank for pointing that out.

With that said here is a model I knocked up earlier.

Cool stuff, man. I would suggest doing a blend shape or something for when he stands up to let his belly round out a bit, as it kinda bends funky at the moment, I think.

good start!

You knocked up that model? Funny.. It doesn't look pregnant. :p

I agree with Mike. Actually, he shouldn't be bending there, but rotating. The body should rotate around the hip joint where the legs join the body. Try that and see what happens. user added image
