Need some help with high contrast lighting

Hey everyone. I'm working on a project that needs a lighting scenario that's similar to the lighting that was used in the DLC for the video game Mirror's Edge. See the following image for an example:

I usually don't work on lighting in Maya and am a bit lost in figuring out how to come up with this effect. Can anyone offer some advice to achieve this? Thanks!!

Maya physical sun and sky with out gamma correction, there are some tutorials on this site................dave
