simple question

hello,

does anyone know what maya's equivalent for 3ds max's ignore backfacing option when selecting vertices,etc.?

Don't know anything about Max, but in Maya I know there is a backface culling option under shading I think. It's under one of the menus of the bar that appears when you press shift+m.

Go to Display, custom polygon display option box, in there you'll find the option to turn on Backface Culling.

just remember that works only with objects you have selected.
