hi again, managed to get it working on another pc.

i have started to colour it and i cant seperate the top parts of her body to colour them seperately, how do i do this?user added image

select the faces.

Edit Polys > Extract.

thanks, done that.

its refusing to do it on some though, says cannot paint on polymeshes. how do i combat this one?

Might need to delete history from the extract command.

If you're using the 3D Paint tool, make sure you apply a seperate material to each piece that you want to have a seperate texture on.

Also, polygonal meshes need to be UV mapped. I don't know if the downloaded female model has UVs or not, but if not, you'll need to do so.

hi, sorted that out

maya seems to be having trouble when i colour stuff in. its getting to the stage now where whenever i get to the last stage of the process it crashes and shuts down.

help! ????????????user added image
