Aside from the fact that this is an absolutely beautiful model, the latest render has a "ghost-like" quality to it...

creepy....awesome!....but creepy.

Emo: I have to make a confession. I do have other reference too. I bought The Perfect Storm DVD and took some screenshots from it + there are many photos of Andrea Gail in the Secrets Of The Pros book. None of those were directly from side or didn't show the whole ship so that's why I drew that simple reference picture user added image

Anyway, thanks for the comments...

That's the plan. But I'm not rushing anything. Here's the WIP thread for the ocean I'm going to put her in: https://forum.simplymaya.com/showthre...&threadid=2993

I still need to plan out some sort of script and storyboard for the final animation. I have to agree what Hidalgo said earlier. The last shot has some ghost-like feel in it, so I started thinking why not using that as an idea for the animation. Something like: "Fisherman's Legend - The Spirit Of Andea Gail"

Anyway, I am open to ideas...

WOW!!! :wow:

Your ship looks awesome.

I haven't visited this thread since it first started. And it has come a long way since then.

About how many Hours have you put into this ship?
And how long are your render times at this point?

Just curious. user added image

Can't wait to see final render.
