Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

i thought of not adding it... btw, i am modelling it with one front photo and the rest is my guess..
maybe i will add the trees and the water... not a fountain......

neway, i will post the reference pics.... i cannot see the steps in it...

nice texture around the door! I'd like to see it close up. From this distance it is very convincing.

the texture cannot be judged from that far distance - but it looks like you made a miniature taj mahal - ar you going to make a toy? about the door, you dont have a door in there yet. the big round thingy is not the door - the door is inside that round opening - and the door is about a 15th of the size of the big archs height user added image

hey!!!! babyduckie, its only in the 6th stage.... out of 10.... the door is bump mapping... rendering currently going on..........

It looks VERY good! But one comment: it does look a little like a miniature. Perhaps making the texture a bit smaller (more noise) would help.

even if it is in the stage 6 out of ten, but the "door" is NOT the door you want us to think it is. here is a picture of taj mahal that should make you understand what i talk about. and yes, the little ants are human beeings.
