Black is ok for the shoes, but I kinda like the orange.

Still like the orange one better. Maybe try a grey or blue on the shoes.

I'll experiment with the shoe color. I've got brown right now...

And I've started working on facial expressions:

Which scenario would you like better?

A - I'm in the kitchen tryin to wash dishes, vaccum, feed the dog, and scrub the floors AT THE SAME TIME with a disgruntled look on my face

or

B - Some sort of superhero situation. user added image

hehe nice face expression.. although i also think it needs a little lift..
you could also lower the other eyebrow abit and keep the lip and cheek like that.. sorta give him a "dirty" grin type look.. (did i make any sense.. lol)
it's turnin' out really cool man.. :p

I'll keep that in mind. user added image

Ok, here's my last update on the character part of this model. I've still got to do the inside of the mouth and make him a wrist watch, but I'll take care of that later. Now, it's back to the sketch book to see about the kitchen katastrophe. user added image

i like the orange shoes better. but maybe you should try cherry red instead of orange (so it does not match the shirt perfectly) - that might look even cooler (to me)
