Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Two graphics cards?

Alright I have the ability to hook up two graphics cards to my computer, they are two completely different graphics cards, one is a Radeon x300 (I believe) and the other one is a Quadro FX 3450... is there anyway to run these two and my two monitors?

Not too sure mate, I use 2 of the same cards in my PC and tbh I dont really see any difference with one in there (never play games) there set up in crossfire mode running dual monitors (though I've now got a different monitor all together so its only one now.

I know a guy who mixed his cards and it worked, I didnt think it would but it did, think it was an gforce and an ATI, not too sure what, if any problems there would be but I would try to match therm really.

the reason I ask is because I like to have the quadro card for Maya but I would like to have the other card run my video games since the quadro isn't a gaming card and I can notice it quite a bit with COD5

thanks for the reply

if anyone else has any idea about this let me know I appreciate it.

On a side note, my worst worry would be getting them to run properly without any driver issues ... since they are both different companies/branches.
