Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Converting Maya 4.5 files to 4.0

I have aquired some Maya MB files that are formatted to Maya 4.5. How can I open them in Maya 4.0?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...*S*

Hi JD,

you would either have to open them with maya 4.5 or 5, and then save it as Ma instead of Mb, then you can edit the file, e.g. with Notepad... and then remove a couple of lines... can't remember the exact lines... but e.g. the lines that say's require 4.5 should be removed... user added image

you could also use this plugin, rmMaExport... however this requires either Maya 4.5 or 5, aswell... -->

hope that helps... user added image
