Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

How to adjust the axis or pivot???

Hi I am abso new to maya....(dont know if this is stupid or wat... but without this solved,.. I cnt move on...)I cant seem to use the scale tool in the front and the side views...and the Pivots or the axis for the scale tool in the persp. view is tooo long... what should I do...

Not really sure what u mean. Are the axes too long? The + and - on your numpad can make these grow and shrink.
If it's something else, a screencap would be helpful.
