Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

cubs fan

This model is for an animation class assignment. This is my first semi-decent model so I'm pretty stoked. About to work on the inside of the mouth. then maybe add an ear. then a cubs hat. tell me what you think.

I think the shape of nose is too hard on sides and mouth too, but since this is not an approach to realistic character, it can look however you like.

It's supposed to be kind of a dorky cubs (as in the baseball team from chicago) fan. It'll make more since when I add the cap hair and body shortly. Here's a close up of the ear just finished. Took way to long to model. I'll keep on trucking.
