Maya polygon paint tools peoblem please help

hi everyone please help if you know something about it.
that is me again. please help me to find out what is the problem

the problem is with maya polygon paint tools,

I made a head (polygon) with polygon face count of 80 face's. when i start paint on head for example make a number 2 on the head , start all 80 face to
paint. do you know what is the problem,

here i send you a image what happend as a attachment. open it and have
look, please help

wow, its a repeating texture right? is it UV mapped?

You need to UV map the head.

polygon paint tools

it is now uv mapped, but still the same , nothing changed.
it is somthing with the setting of the paint tools, i don,t know how can i fix. please anyone know something tell me,

can you show what your UV map and texture look like?
