Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Root bind but lower joints not binded

Hi.
My human model is made of individual polygons.
When I proceed to binding, I selected all the polygons and then the root joint, then selected smooth binding.

When I select the root joint, the polygons are selected and can be moved.

But when I select any joints in a lower hierarchy, the polygons are not highlight, indicating that they won't move, which is true enough.

What am I missing here?

I'm using Maya7 on WinXP.
I've attached the file below.

Attached Files
File Type: zip no_bind.zip (115.0 KB, 183 views)

I tried the same file on a Mac and it works.
So I'm guessing that this is a PC problem.

But I don't remember having this problem.
Is there a way to reset Maya to default?

Ok. I'm rather dumb.
I reset the Smooth Skin Bind option and now it is back to normal.
