UV Problem

Hello everyone,
Ive recently started animating a book which has a cover that opens. I laid out the UV's so that i could texture it but after i animated the book cover the UV's moved around and warped the texture.

Does anyone know how i can stop them from moving?

All comments welcome
Thanks

How did you apply the texture to the geometry and what type of geometry is it applied to?

The book cover is a polygon model and i applied the a blinn material to it with the file texture attatched.

Its a smooth proxy model though and the material is applied to the smoothed version, im not sure if that would affect it though.

I would look at baking the texture...

Thanks R@nSiD
Ive been looking at a couple of tutorials on baking textures but they all talk about turning the texture into another file texture, is that right?
If it makes it into another file texture the UV's will still move.

I thought that when you bake a texture it stays on the geometry.
I might be thinking of something else though.

If anyone knows of any links to other tutorials i would be very greatfull
Thanks

How does it work with the low poly model, with the material assigned to that?

I only ever really use the smooth proxy to evaluate my smoothed model, I then go to sub'd's or the smooth the model to render.

Hello
I used the link and created the file texture but the same thing was happening and the UV's still move.

I also tried not using a smooth proxy and just used the low poly version but the UV's still move with that one aswell.

Currently to animate the cover im using a set driven key,
is there a way i could link the UV positions to that and animate it in the same position so the texture doesnt move?

Thanks

as far as getting the texture to not slide, go into your maya help and look up 'create texture reference object' and you'll find out how.
