HELP PLEASE

Ok so I've been working on making a meat grinder and when I select the two faces, as seen in the picture, some other points are getting selected too. How do I get just the two faces that I need to be extruded to be the only things I select? The dots that are circled are what I need help fixing. Thank you!

Looks like you've got reflection on. Uncheck that in the tool settings.
