playblast only goes 12frames! huh?

Hey everyone!
I seem to have a problem with my scene.

I modeled a whole house with furniture and everything. I then proceeded to add a camera for a fly-through. however whenever I go to playblast the camera, the playblast only loads about 10-12 frames and then it stops. Doesn't matter how I have the playblast time settings, it only produces that many frames and then the rest of my time is just the last frame repeated.

However in a new scene the playblast will work fine for any length of time. just that scene with the house I'm using I have problems. Does anyone know if there might be anything in my scene that might cause this problem?

whichever camera I use I have this problem. even creating new ones.
I'm using Maya 6.0 on winXP

thanks alot for your help!

Frederic.

you aren't minimizing maya or anything right? I think that will interrupt it.

oh no I don't touch anything, just click on playblast and let it go. just goes 10-12 frames and that's it.
but if I make a new scene I can playblast longer.

could there be something in my scene limiting the playblast engine?
