Lamborghini Project

Good evening. I have started a project and wanted to post a WIP on it. I haven't done much in Maya for quite awhile and have found a tutorial that shows how to do the interior and the engine of a Lamborghini Murcielago. Always wanted to do a tutorial with an interior. Anyway it may be over my head, I think the body work I will be alright with. I have gotten started and here is where I am at:

I got the splines all laid out:

Here is a Lo-Res wire I have of the Bumper and Hood:

A High Res wire Preview:

And just a smoothed preview:

The rest of the posts won't be so lengthy. But wanted to give an idea of where I am starting. This will take awhile I am sure. But I will do my Best!!

I hope that I can get guidence on what you may see in my work. Thanks!

Younglion from you I take as a very nice compliment. I have watched you work for so long and wished to do such stuff. Thank you!

I got the fender for the front done today and still needs some more refinement just behind the corner of the healight and runnint to the back. The instructor says that there is supposed to be a hint of a crease there and we will come back to it., Hope you all had a good day!!

Thank you Acid. I got it from 3D Buzz (Of course an Old Hippie would like that).

A couple of things about it though. He uses the Crease Tool alot and I don't use it at all. I do all of my own border edges. So I follow his lead, but use my own border edges.

Acid as also have I bought it for the Interior and Engine modeling. I just went to the site and appears they have a problem this morning. I will check and give you a link alittle later, ok? The title of the tutorial is "Mastering Maya - Advanced Modeling Session II: Polygons Intensive". It is 2 DVD's and is 30 hours of training. I have watched some of the videos he does the interior and the engine. I think I can do it, and I sure want to try and learn.

I will get the URL to you Acid.

Acid, seems the link to it is still down. But if you go here:
https://www.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/sv_home.php

And scroll to the bottom of the page you will see two windows (3D Animation Products and Programming Products). If you scroll the window for 3D Animation to the right the next to the last product 'Maya Advanced Modeling' is the link you will want. I just checked and it is still down. Sorry!

Evening again everyone. Got quite abit at least started and roughed in. Went back to the front door and did some work and the window just behind the driver. Got the Wing that pops up for air just behind that window. Also got the rear fender in back to the taillights. And started on the top of the car. I know things are a rough right now. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!
