Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

newbie

Hey all,
I have worked with different programs, but i am new with this 3d modeling. I need to learn as much as possible in the next 4 to 6 months for a job. What is the easiest way to start learning and where should i start? Any suggestions would be a great help. thanks

Well, there are a bunch of freebie tutorials around the net, and there are tutorials available here. Also depends what you're getting into modeling for film or games, meh.

All depends on your preferred learning method. There are text tutorials, video tutorials, text lessons, video lessons.
All kinds of free resources on the net, and this site specifically for Maya. But sites out there for every program.
Places like Digital Tutors and Gnomon Workshop host hundreds of video lessons/tutorials and are easy to follow and cover just about everything.
There is also books, if you like books, they are handy for reference but cannot really expand on anything further than the text.

As I say, you need to find a preference and then we can help better direct you, but hopefully this has given you some direction.
