This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Next tutorial!

Hey, guys, I'm pretty excited about my new tutorial series that will start coming out soon and thought I'd post a head's up for you to be on the look-out for it!

It's a time-lapse video series of creating a low-poly character from scratch throughout the texturing and probably rigging, too.

It's still early, but Part 1 should be coming out soon, with part 2 not long after.

Here's an image of it at the end of pt 2:

Hope you enjoy it!

Screen from end of part 3.

At this part, the model is essentially "finished." However, now I'll be pretty much remodeling a lot of it to giver her clothes and stuff. These first 3 parts were for my own practice as much as it was for your benefit.

So, you can expect the next parts to see her become more clothed, pretty much replacing much of the torso geometry and adding a skirt and such. user added image Hope you like it! First couple parts should be coming out soon.

lol, sorry, but the reference images won't be available with the tutorial. I'm afraid I don't have distribution rights to them, although displaying them in the videos shouldn't be a problem, legally.

Although, I suppose I could ask to make sure... I'll let you guys know.

Just in case, the site in question is www.3d.sk. I know Kev doesn't like advertising, but this site doesn't compete with us.

Let me know and I'll get rid of the link, Kev! user added image
