character modeling

hi

i just wanted to ask some questions about character modeling jobs,

i've gotten good at modeling human characters, however i just wanted to know, do character modelers just model human character or do they model other things like beasts and other animals

my last job was a character modler and I had to make all sorts. Birds, horses, dogs (even ended up doing the sets as well). - It depends on the company size I think though

I'd wager anything that's considered a character....man, beast, machine, etc. You need to be able to model more than humans. Something else you might want to think about would be the differences in character modeling for Visual Effects vs. Cartoony animation....different approaches.
