Biraial ?

I am trying to learn how to work with curves and surfaces. I am working on trying to surface these curves and ca't seem to get them to work. I have three profile curves and two rail curves. the rail curves are made of single curves that intersect at a point. Nothing seems to work. Any help would be much appreciated. I am attaching a copy of the scene its in maya 4.0.user added image

the ends of all your curves are not snapped to each other..

also, even when you get it working, the surface will only extend as far as your furthest profile curve, so only the area between the 3 profile curves will have a surface. It won't extend to the end of the rail curves that come to a point.
