They're not black, but the Lacie 19" electron19blueIII monitors are really nice. They have a dark blue casing, and the image quality is some of the best on the planet. I have 2 of the electronII's on my desk. Really nice.

wow, that is a stunning monitor, one thing i dont like about them tho, the hood around the top and sides of the monitor, is it possible to take that off?

bit off topic, is it possible to plug any CRT monitor into a gfx card with dual output? no matter what the monitors output connector is?

Yes, you can take the hood off. I actually don't use them on my monitors. I think they've velco strips you can use if you want.

And yes, you can plug the monitor into any card provided you have the right adapters.

yes it is possible... well for me anyway. My card (128Mb Leadtek Geforce4 Ti4200 VIVO) has got a dual output - one plug is normal and the other is a digital. But my card also came with an adaptor that allows a plug from a normal CRT monitor to be connected to the digital one.
