Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

I have big problems with texturing a polygon head I`ve made. seems impossible to organize the UV`s. Can anybody help me?

Have a look on learningmaya.com in the texturing section, theres quite a few tutorials showing the theory and how to go about in in different ways, should help you out.

Also on here theres a few tutorials that deal with uv mapping a head (jason edwards GI texturing to name but one might help you out)

Cheers

Hello Manchester and thanks for answering!

Now things look different. I manage the "UV tasks". But I do have some other questions.
When working with uv-mapping, should your mesh be smoothed on beforehand or not? Is it smarter to work with deep paint 3d, than UV mapping?
