Emitter for Minigun bullets

HELP!

Hi I'm trying to create a minigun which will be mounted on to a tank. The Minigun will auto target my character.

I have reached a snag. The bullets only ever point and travel in one direction (Z as defined by me) even though the minigun is pointing else where (gum is rotating). How do I get the bullets to face and travel in the direction that the minigun is pointed?

Thanks

Use particles-->create an emitter and parent it under the mini gun.

You can setup a system where you could use the locator object to move it around in the scene and so aim exactly where you want it!

Thnx

thanks

but the bullet only ever points along the z axis.

How do I make the bullet come out the barrel pointing in the right direction.

I've created the bullet and then used an instancer to replace the particles.

Would a SDK work if the bullet object's rotate is linked to the rotate of the minigun?

~Thanks again~

maybe you could line the emitter and the gun up first and then parent the emitter to the gun. Or you coud use aim constraint.

Could you not instance the bullets to the particles so they point in the direction of where the particles travel?
