This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

June - Normal - cb8rwh

Ello all,

I'll have a bash at this - going to do a minotaur - hopefully not just a run-of-the-mill beast but a more stylized model - maybe a war minotaur - see a few of the images below

frayo, guvna - thanks a lot..

guvna - I know what you mean about the moose looking thing - I am trying to acheive the following look - hopefully the horns won't look so bad when the body is attached to the head as it will be fairly wide.

Views of the head, need to complete the eye area, but other than that this is pretty much a completed head - spose a few details might need adding, but will do that later.

I like it, but I wouldnt put the canines.

I guess you put them there to give him a meaner look but I think that it will come naturaly with the rest of the body (and a big axe in his hand!). Maybe pulling up the upped lip a bit to show the front teeth would do it too. But right now I think it looks more like a 'vampire cow'... ;-)

heheh - yeah I know what you mean - it does look a bit soft user added image I will mess around with it some more, I would prefer to keep the canines, but might have to make them look less silly. It is definitely getting a frickin huge axe!! or a mace or summat like that.

Cheers for the comments - appreciate it

started on the body - more or less going to be a full human body, apart from maybe the feet.

As usual comments/crits welcome user added image
