Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

cheers mike and vlad....

vlad, I will def try and add a few cuts to the arms ( I assume you mean muscular cuts?) but I am adding a few bits of armour etc so will see how much of arm shows before doing that.

And to that extent - yay or nay for the wrist band - sort of a kerry king effort (for all you slayer fans user added image )

Ehh.. dont you think the spikes are a little too long? I would cut them by 2/3... And reduce the number / increase the spacing... Also, spikes like that cant just hold on leather, so you better put a solid plate (wood, metal, bone) and stick the spikes on it.

Of course, this is just IMHO, as always... ;-)

peltra - thanks matey

mantat - yeah I know they are quite long - as I said an attempt to copy the wristband the guitarist from slayer wears, but I take your point about them holding in leather - might have to address that.

Cheers all - wont be able to do anything till Friday now user added image just as I get going as well!!!

Looking good. user added image I'd say the biggest thing I'd like to see is some more definition in the muscles of the legs and arms and a better transition between pectoral and bicep, but it looks cool, and whatever you decide for armor might cover some of that up. user added image

Cheers guys,

org - nowt special just working away for a couple of days

Mike - yeah I tried to create some more def in the legs, but it looked rubbish so I got rid of it. I am not really sure how to go about adding extra detail like that - will just have to keep trying.

How would I improve the transition - is it too smooth or not the right flow?

Thanks for ideas tho.

cheers
